Prevalence Of Thyroid Hormones Test Abnormality In Females At Reproductive Age Attending Al-batool Maternity Teaching Hospital

Background: Although there is little information about the prevalence of thyroid disorders in young women, but they are common Iraq. Objective: To hormones test abnormality females at reproductive age attending al-batool maternity teaching hospital Patients and Methods: This study involved 1570 female ages patients Al-batool Maternity Hospital Diyala Province, Serum levels T3, T4, TSH were measured this study. According to conventional definitions overt hyper- hypothyroidism grouped according their status time testing. Results: A total subjects screened whom 152 (18.6%) had abnormal TSH. The overall hyperthyroidism with elevated was 17.4%, which 1.2% low seen 1.3% population (P= 0.001). Generally, thyroxin hormone (T4) abnormalities totaled 12.02%, 10.22% 1.8% hyperthyroidism. Furthermore, triiodothyroxin T4 percentage 14.84%, compared 3.12% 11.72%. Conclusion: Thyroid dysfunction women. Therefore, more susceptible disorders.
